I’m not sure if I classify myself as a Cottage Witch but I love and seem to fit in with the practice quite nicely.
Because of this I thought I’d try making a spoon wand! I wanted to dedicate it to Hestia and Brigid with some added runes to really kick the energies up a notch.
This particular spoon wand cost me a whopping 40p from Wilko.
To make this spoon you will need:
A wooden spoon
A woodburner (though you can paint instead)
Beeswax polishing spray
Pencil and eraser (preferably kneaded)
Any other decorations you want (e.g. Ribbons and cryatals)
So how did I make it?
First of all I very gently sketched out Their symbols while my woodburner was heating up. Please note that the pencil marks will smudge when you erase it so a kneaded eraser may be best for this job.
I then started the process of burning the symbols in. I noticed that it is extremely hard to get a straight line because of the grain but go slowly and you will get there!
I started the process again with the runes, carefully picking ones that match family and unity as well as protection and happiness.
I then went over the whole spoon with this wax.
And that’s it!
Thank you and I hope you all enjoyed reading my process on how I made this wand spoon.
