“The Battle for Azeroth Pre-Patch Goes Live July 17th!”

You will need to get your

• mage tower appearances (only the base challenge; you can do the rated bgs and dungeons later if you’ve unlocked the base challenge appearance)
• violet spellwing mount (defeat heroic argus the unmaker in antorus)
• ‘the chosen’ title/mythic chosen dead appearances (complete mythic tov without dying in a single run–i haven’t done this so correct me if i’ve got the details wrong)
• ‘field medic’/first aid achievements (first aid is being removed in bfa)
• legion elite pvp sets (specifically, the most recent seasons’ ones)
• ashran/strand of the ancients achievements (iirc ashran is probably coming back with big battlegrounds but that likely wont be for a while)

before Tuesday’s reset as the above items/achievements will be removed!

Note:

• you can still get your class mounts in bfa–no need to rush these
• you can still get all the prestige rewards in bfa but because of the change to the prestige/honor reward structure it is easier to grind now
• all artifact appearances

  (incl. hidden ones) other than the mage tower ones will still be obtainable in bfa. the only exception to the mage tower appearances are if you’ve collected the base appearance, as mentioned above

• your hunter will be able to tame unicorns and frogs during the pre-patch! see http://www.wow-petopia.com/ for the new tameables (i don’t think everything expected to be tameable is currently flagged as such, but if that changes we might get pterrordaxes for the pre-patch too). a bunch of beast models are being updated so head on over to petopia to see which and if you think you might be nostalgic, now is a good time to get some screenshots or smth
